CHIEFS V CYCLONES – UNDER 1218 MAY 2008 PLAYOFF FINAL  

Luke Campbell, Danny Jordan, Andy (Mighty Mouse) Creane, Johnny Thompson, David O’Sullivan, Reece Locke, Richard Murphy  and Jack Alexander took to the court this morning to face the Northern Cyclones in the under 12 Playoff Final.  Earlier on in the morning they had beaten the Badgers 7 - 1 to bring them to the final.

The game started off with a quick succession of shots from the Cyclones which Jack managed to save.  A quick shot managed to go between the pipes, Danny fought back hard and hit a fantastic shot, only to be saved .  With 7 minutes left in the first period the Cyclones took a penalty, putting the Chiefs in a powerplay situation.  They tried hard and showed great determination.  3 Minutes before end of the period a timeout was called .  Coach Gary had a quick chat telling the team they were playing well, but needed to shoot more.  Shortly after the Cyclones took another penalty, Chiefs played fantastic defence, managing to keep the pucks out.  The first period ended  2-0 to the Cyclones.

Second period started with a hard shot which Jack saved  in his catcher.  Luke got the puck and took a brilliant shot scoring an unassisted goal.  Danny made a fantastic effort, taking the puck from one end of the rink to the other, only to have it  saved again.

 The game ended 5-1.  The Chiefs played a hard and determined game, well done to all.
